Press release
8 April 2026
Evero Energy is pleased to announce the launch of its Community Investment Fund, now open to applications from projects and organisations supporting communities near Evero’s facilities in England and Northern Ireland.
The fund will support initiatives across Cheshire West, Halton and Londonderry that protect the environment, foster wellbeing and inclusion, and strengthen local communities.
Elliot Renton, Chief Executive Officer of Evero, said: "At Evero, our values guide everything we do. Strong communities are central to a sustainable future, and through the Community Investment Fund, we can give back to the areas around our sites. We’re proud to be supporting projects that we hope will create lasting benefits for these communities.”
Evero Energy operates waste wood-to-energy plants that divert over 375,000 tonnes of waste wood from landfill each year, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions while generating enough energy to power 125,000 homes annually. This approach not only promotes circular economy principles but also highlights Evero’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The Community Investment Fund forms part of Evero’s broader dedication to long-term sustainability and meaningful partnerships with the local communities in which it operates.
Applications are now open. Submissions are welcome from registered charities, schools and educational institutions, not-for-profit companies, and community groups.
The fund supports projects that give back to local communities, enhance wellbeing, strengthen community connections, or deliver environmental benefits, including initiatives that promote sustainability and circularity. Projects might include community-led environmental improvements, educational programs, skills development, or activities that bring people together and enrich the wider community.
Organisations and projects ready to make a meaningful impact can find application guidelines and forms on the project web page HERE.
