Evero Energy brings operations and maintenance of its Mersey Bioenergy plant in-house

Widnes, UK – 02/10/2026 – Evero Energy has assumed responsibility for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of its Mersey Bioenergy facility in Widnes, taking over the role previously carried out by BWSC.
Mersey Bioenergy is one of Evero's energy recovery facilities, generating renewable electricity for more than 45,000 homes annually, from domestically sourced waste wood that cannot be reused or recycled.
The transition marks a new chapter for the site, with the plant now fully operated and maintained by Evero's in-house team.
